Partner David Metzger Obtained Summary Judgement on a Slip and Fall Case

Partner David Metzger obtained summary judgment on a slip and fall on snow and ice case venued in Kings County. There was a dispute among the defendants and third-party defendants as to which entity was required under the NYC Administrative Code and the applicable leases and maintenance contracts to clear the snow and ice at the accident location. However, David was able to establish that our client, one of the commercial tenants, did not owe that duty. The court dismissed all of the claims and cross-claims asserted against our client.
