Lewis Johs Avallone Aviles, LLP is proud to announce the promotion of four lawyers to its partnership: Lisa M. Fresolone (f/k/a Lisa M. Landers); Stephen R. Macho; Ross A. Ruggiero; and Timothy D. Cameron. The promotions to the partnership highlight the firm’s dedication to developing our attorneys and delivering exceptional legal services to our clients.

Lisa M. Fresolone: Lisa Fresolone has dedicated her practice to the defense of medical malpractice and healthcare negligence claims. She specializes in the defense of physicians, healthcare facilities, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and home health agencies. She also is experienced in the defense of general liability claims, including premises liability, vehicular liability, and patient-on-patient assault claims. Lisa’s success in those practice areas is well-documented in several important decisions rendered in the New York State Supreme Court.
Stephen R. Macho: Stephen Macho’s practice focuses on the defense of medical professionals in malpractice cases, including physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, and healthcare facilities. He also defends general liability claims, including those involving premises liability and construction accidents. Additionally, Stephen has successfully defended insurance carriers in complex insurance coverage cases. Prior to joining Lewis Johs, he was an associate in a Manhattan firm concentrating in both medical malpractice and nursing home defense litigation.
Ross A. Ruggiero: Ross Ruggiero’s practice focuses on complex casualty defense litigation. Ross represents a wide variety of corporate and individual clients including landlords, property managers, business owners, trucking companies, school bus companies and insurers. He also has an extensive background in No-Fault Insurance litigation. Ross has obtained favorable results in the New York State Supreme Court and has obtained several defense awards in binding arbitration proceedings.
Timothy D. Cameron: Tim Cameron has over twenty years of experience handling all aspects of defense litigation in the New York State Supreme Courts throughout New York City and Long Island. Tim defends clients in matters involving premises liability, negligent security and construction accidents. He has extensive experience in the field of medical malpractice and, additionally, represents several nursing home facilities in healthcare negligence matters. Tim has a proven track record of obtaining summary judgment decisions on behalf of his clients.
