Heather J. Mondelli is Senior Counsel in the General Liability and Insurance Defense Group at Lewis Johs, focusing on Construction & Labor Law, Automobile Liability, and Premises Liability actions. Previously, she was a litigator at another prominent Long Island liability defense firm for 20 years where her practice focused primarily on the defense of school districts in negligence actions. Heather began her legal career as an attorney in Manhattan where she practiced medical malpractice defense.

Heather is admitted to practice law in New York State and Connecticut, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Heather earned her Juris Doctor in 2000 from Santa Clara University School of Law, studying out at Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law as a 3L. While in law school, Heather externed with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in the Hardcore Gang Murder Unit and interned with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English with a Minor in Women’s Studies from Boston College in 1997. While in college, Heather was a Victim Witness Advocate Intern with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office as well as a Rape Crisis Counselor for the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center.
