Joseph M. Charchalis Partner
Joseph Charchalis, a partner at the firm, specializes in providing legal counsel to individuals and businesses on a wide array of transactional matters, including asset sales and purchases, business contracts, construction contracts and commercial leases. In addition, Joseph represents clients in a broad spectrum of general liability matters, encompassing premises liability, construction accidents, transportation law, vehicular negligence, civil assault, and property damage claims. He handles all aspects of defense litigation, from inception through to verdict.
Recognized by NY Metro Super Lawyers as a Rising Star from 2017 to 2022 and as a Super Lawyer in 2023, Joseph has established a reputation for excellence in his field. Proud of his Italian heritage, he serves as president of the Dante Foundation, a non-profit organization that offers scholarships to outstanding youths of Italian ancestry and he supports various charitable causes. He is also an active member of the Suffolk County Bar Association.
Joseph graduated from Hofstra University School of Law in 2010, as a presidential scholarship recipient. During his time in law school, he co-founded and remains a board member of Better Understanding of Life in Africa, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for children in Uganda. He has been admitted to practice law in the state of New York since 2011.
