Associate Stephen J. Maloney, Jr. Named as LIBN 40 Under 40 Recipient
Lewis Johs’ associate Stephen Maloney was named one of Long Island’s 2020 “40 Under 40” by Long Island Business News (LIBN). LIBN has been honoring outstanding members of the business community on Long Island who are 40 or under since 1998. These future leaders of Long Island have already begun to distinguish themselves in business, government, education and the not-for-profit sector. They have a proven track record of career success, are involved in mentoring and promoting their profession and find time to give back to their communities. Stephen has earned this achievement based on his legal career, his leadership positions in various organizations and non-profits together with his dedication to volunteering for the betterment of Long Island.
Stephen earned his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School of Union University. While attending law school, Stephen interned for two years in the New York State Senate for former State Senator and current Congressman, Lee Zeldin, working on legislation and policy issues within the 3rd Senate District (Suffolk County). Stephen worked as an associate at a Long Island law firm where he practiced in the areas of casualty defense, including medical malpractice and personal injury prior to Lewis Johs. He joined the firm in 2016 and represents clients in all faces of litigation including general liability matters, vehicular negligence, property damage claims, municipal liability, transportation law, premises liability, and professional liability.
