Stacey Gorny is a partner in the firm’s Islandia office. She specializes in the defense of clients involved in construction site accidents, labor law, sexual molestation, breach of contract, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents and other personal injury actions.  She also handles cases focusing on complex litigation and commercial matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Stacey was an associate at an insurance litigation firm in Manhattan, where she defended and managed all stages of trial litigation in the areas of negligence, contractual issues, labor and construction law, and premises liability.

Stacey is admitted to practice law in New York State Court as well as in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

Stacey also volunteers her time as part of a woman’s business community and acts as a mentor and role model to other young women who are driven to succeed. She was the past President of the Moxxie Mentoring Foundation from 2020 through 2022, which is a nonprofit corporation that works toward mentoring college women on Long Island.   She is currently a member of the foundation’s Advisory Council.  In 2016, she was awarded the group’s Purple Pump Mentoring Award for excellence in mentoring at the group’s annual fundraiser, the Emerald Summit.

Stacey earned her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School in 2000, where she was a member of the International Moot Court as an oralist and brief writer.  In 1997, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, with high academic distinction, from The Pennsylvania State University.
